Whether you’re renting a car in Lebanon because you’re here on vacation, or simply because your car broke down in the streets of Beirut, here are three most important things you should look out for in your car rental!
1) Look for scratches around the car:
Depending on their policies, car rental companies in Lebanon might charge you extra if you scratch or hit their car. In order to avoid these extra charges, make sure you’re clear with your car rental agent on the car condition before rental.
2) Look for the condition of your spare tire:
Always ask to see the spare tire in your car rental. Some car rental companies in Beirut might not have one; others might have a deflated/flat spare tire in their car trunks. This is cause for concern as it means that the car is not equipped with the necessary tools to help you overcome any problems that might arise from driving in the busy streets of Beirut.
3) Watch out for the fuel level in the car:
Regardless of the fuel policy of your car rental company, make sure the fuel level in your car is full. Most of us are very busy and just assume that the car is full. Sometimes it’s not the case and you get charged extra for not returning the car back full of gas!
